Ko Wai Au - Reflection/Response!
Ko Wai Au - Reflection/Response
- In 3 sentences, describe how you feel about your artwork you created?
I feel very happy. I’m really proud of my artwork. I love the way it turned out
- Describe the colour schemes you chose to use…
I decided to have my border, koru’s and my three things cold colours and my background warm colours.
- Maori motif and designs were an integral part of this artwork. Describe how you chose to use poutama, tapatoru and koru in your artwork…
I used koru as my family members and pets, I also used some for the patterns on the sun. For poutama and tapatoru I used those for my border.
- What is the aspect of your artwork you are most proud of and why?
I think I am most proud of all of my artwork as dye got spilt all over it but it still looks great!
- If you could change one aspect of your artwork for next time, what would it be and why?
I think I would change the colour scheme around as I had the sun and a heart but my objects were cold colours so I couldn't colour them red or yellow.
- Who is one other person in Rm 10 that you consider did an exemplary job of their artwork? What are your reasons why? I think Zoe’s artwork was pretty, she didn’t use a colour scheme but she made it work and it looks great
Tapatoru the Maori name for triangle. This design is a taniko pattern with two
triangles upside down and a diamond on the outside, the colours are bold and
the use of layer style effects is very beautiful.

Problem Solving Wk 6
Every week we have a different maths problem that we have to solve. Some of them are easy some of them are hard. Here is the one that we had to last week.
Favourite Free Writing
In-room ten we have this thing we do in the morning called free writing. In free writing, we have ten minutes to write about whatever we want and at the end, we count our words because we are trying to get the highest score we can. This is my favourite writing so far.
This is one of the many reasons why you should stop judging people and things. Because sometimes they can be wrong and there will be consequences!
Well, I guess you're probably thinking “ Oh this is gonna be another made up crappy story that has no excitement!” Well, you're right but this time it's different. This time I’m going to include you in it! So one day you were walking down the street when you saw something glowing in the bushes. You had never seen this before so you decided to investigate.
You walked up to the goo and grabbed a dead leaf. You put it in the goo and surprisingly it turned green again. “Wow!” You said, “ I just found the cure to death!” You picked it up with some more dead leaves and ran to the hospital. “ I have a cure for death!” You screamed as you ran in the door. Everyone stopped and stared at you thinking you were mad.
You reached in your pocket and grabbed out a dead leaf “What’s that got to do with anything!?!” Someone yelled out. You ignored them. You dipped the leaf in the goo and it instantly turned green again. No one looked impressed. You looked around eagerly to see if anyone was smiling. No one was. “Bring me a dying person!” You yelled, “I will prove it works!” Someone began to wheel himself over. “Test it on me,” he said. You did so you poured some of it into his hand and he began to smear it on his body. He turned into a baby. Everyone screamed.
This is one of the many reasons why you should stop judging people and things. Because sometimes they can be wrong and there will be consequences!
