Probability Learning

We have been learning probability in class for maths and so far I think I have improved a lot because I had no idea how to use a tree diagram and now I know the easiest ways to do it! I had a lot of fun learning this because Miss O'B figures out how to make anything fun!

Fish in a Tree - Novel Study

For the first two terms of school, we read a book called Fish in a Tree and we had to do a novel study about it so here's mine. (I highly recommend that you read the book too)

A moment in time

Timbernook Reflection

On Monday Room 10 went to Timbernook. Timbernook is an outdoor program where you learn a lot about the outdoors and is an overall great little camp kind of thing. First off we got into teams and came up with names and chants, ours was called the wood chuckers:

After that we had to use supplies we could find and make people out of them, you could work in a pair, by yourself or in a group. I worked with mainly all the people in the wood chuckers. Here is a photo of us presenting it to everyone:

We also got to do cool things like roasting marshmallows and making holders for some popcorn. Overall I had a great time and I really hope I can go back there someday.

Inquiry weeks 4 & 5

For Inquiry in week 4 & 5, we had a list of things we could do and one thing that we had to do. We had to create a cyber safety footprint and for my can do I chose to make a movie but I haven't gotten it emailed to me so I can't put it on but I do have my footprint. I hope you like it:

Cross Country Progress Report

So Cross Country is happening... Great...

I'm not the most athletic person ever so obviously Cross Country isn't my thought of... 'fun' The fastest time I have taken to run the course is in 22 minutes so I want to try complete it around that time on Tuesday afternoon. (Which by the way is when we are doing cross country) The most challenging part of the course is inside the little forest area because there is a lot of mud and it is very slippery. Some photos have been taken of us practising so here is one of Rainnah and Paige.

Welcome to room 10

International Student

This week our Chinese exchange student Kevin arrived. I don't know him that well but he seems really nice! He gave us all some ADORABLE little panda bookmarks! I hope he has a great time in room 10 and in New Zealand and I hope to become good friends with him.
